Do you accept Section 8 vouchers?
Yes! Zhen Property Management proudly accepts Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8) across our entire portfolio of rental properties in Chicago. We work closely with the Chicago Housing Authority to ensure a smooth process for all voucher holders.
How do I apply for a rental property?
You can apply online through our Apply Now page. Simply fill out the application form with your personal information, desired property, and any additional details. Our team reviews applications within 1-2 business days.
What are your lease terms?
We typically offer 12-month lease agreements. In some cases, shorter or longer terms may be available depending on the property. Contact us for specific lease term options.
What is included in the rent?
Inclusions vary by property. Some units include water and trash removal, while others may include heat. Specific inclusions are listed on each property's detail page. Generally, tenants are responsible for electricity and gas.
How do I pay rent?
Rent can be paid online through our resident portal. We accept electronic payments for your convenience. Simply sign in to your resident account to make payments, set up autopay, or view your payment history.
Maintenance requests can be submitted through the resident portal 24/7. For emergencies, please call our office at (312) 248-3717. We aim to address all non-emergency requests within 24-48 hours.
Pet policies vary by property. Some of our rental homes are pet-friendly with a pet deposit and monthly pet rent. Please check the specific property listing or contact us for details.

Is there a security deposit required?
Yes, most properties require a security deposit equal to one month's rent. The deposit is held in accordance with Chicago's Residential Landlord and Tenant Ordinance (RLTO) and is refundable upon move-out, subject to the terms of your lease.
Generally, you'll need a valid government-issued ID, proof of income (pay stubs or benefits statement), and references from previous landlords. Section 8 voucher holders should have their voucher documentation ready.
